Skip the same old glass of wine.

A Cosmo on a Tuesday, a round of spicy margs on Friday, a daiquiri for the friend who is not drinking tonight. None of it takes longer than opening the bottle would have. Quality and convenience were never meant to be a choice.

We'd be sceptical too

Powder. In a jar. That becomes a Margarita.

We know how that sounds. We would raise an eyebrow as well. So here is the case for the defence: it was formulated by food scientists working with leading Australian mixologists, it is poured in bars and restaurants around the country, and every review we have is five stars. Not most of them. All of them. We are a little bit weird and a little bit different, and we are very confident you are going to like it.

Frequently asked questions

Making a drink

How long does it actually take?

About ten seconds. Scoop, add your spirit, top and stir. Quick enough to make between getting the kids down and sitting down yourself.

Do I need a shaker or any special equipment?

Not a thing. A glass and a spoon will do it. Shake it, blend it or run it through a slushy machine if you feel like it, but nothing here needs kit you do not already own.

Do I need to know anything about cocktails?

No. There is no technique to learn and no ratios to memorise. The measurements are printed on the jar, and the drink comes out the same every time whether or not you have ever stood behind a bar.

Will I end up with half-used bottles and limes going soft?

No. That is the whole point of the format. There are no syrups, no secondary liqueurs and no fresh fruit to buy for one drink and throw out a week later. You use what you need and the jar waits for next time.

Can I make them without alcohol?

Yes. Every flavour works as a mocktail. Same mix, skip the spirit, top with soda or water.

Cost and value

Is this actually cheaper than going out for cocktails?

Comfortably. One jar makes 16 generously sized drinks, which works out around $3 a cocktail before spirits. A single round out usually costs more than the whole jar.

How many drinks does one jar make?

Each jar makes 16 generously sized drinks. That covers a dinner party, or a good run of Friday nights.

The mixers

Does it taste like a real cocktail?

That was the brief. Our mixers are formulated by food scientists in consultation with leading Australian mixologists, and they are on the menu at venues that could make the drink from scratch if they wanted to.

What's in them?

Real flavour, shelf-stable, no fresh ingredients to go off. Full ingredient and allergen details are on each product page and jar.

Which flavour should I start with?

Hard to go wrong. Margarita if you like it classic, Spicy Marg if you want heat, Cosmo for something smooth, Strawberry Daiquiri for the crowd-pleaser. If you cannot choose, a set covers you.

The new look

Why do the labels look different to the ones I know?

Because you told us to change them. The feedback we kept getting was about the outside of the jar rather than what was in it, so we went back and redrew the whole thing. The mixer itself is the same recipe you already know. The only change inside the pack is a small moisture absorber, which keeps the powder drier for longer.

Some photos still show the old label. Which one will turn up?

The new one. Reshooting every image across the site takes a while, so a few older photos are still catching up. Whatever the picture shows, what arrives is the new look.

Is the original packaging coming back?

Never. That label only ever went on our first run, and when those jars sold through, that was the end of it. If you have one on your bar cart, you were here at the beginning, and there is a finite number of people who can say that. Keep the jar when it is empty. It is the only one you will get.

Orders and shipping

When will my order arrive?

Orders are picked and sent quickly, so your bar is stocked before the weekend. Free standard shipping on orders over $75 and free express over $99, Australia wide.

What is your returns policy?

We offer 30 day returns on unopened jars. If anything arrives damaged or is not right, get in touch and we will sort it out.

General

Where are your mixers made?

Our mixers are blended and packed in Queensland, Australia.

Are your mixers gluten free, dairy free and vegan?

Yes! All our mixers are gluten free, dairy free and vegan. We test every batch for traces of gluten and dairy just to be sure.

How should I store them?

Somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sunlight. No fridge needed, your pantry or bar cart is perfect.

How long do they keep?

Unopened, a jar will comfortably see you through the next couple of festive seasons, though we highly doubt it will last that long. There is no water in the powder, so there is nothing in there to spoil, and the moisture absorber in every pack keeps it that way.

Once opened, use it within a few weeks for best results. Keep the lid on tight and store it somewhere cool and dry, not the fridge.

What is the little sachet inside the pack?

A food-safe moisture absorber. Damp is the only real enemy of a good powder, so we now put one in every pack to keep things dry and pouring properly. Leave it in and it keeps working. Do not eat it, obviously.
